This house is vernacular in style being a one and one half story graced with two offset formers and asymmetrical facade with enclosed front entranceway. The who flues are offset. Windows are a variation of modern designs. Shingles and vinyl siding sheathe the exterior.

Historical Comment:

Sources claim this is the oldest house at Bayfield dating back to one of the original settlers, Elisha Randall. Elisha Randall and his wife Mary (Tuttle) came to Little River (Bayfield) from Guys. Mary (Tuttle) was first married to Atwater who was killed in a sawmill accident.

Contextual Comment:

The basic structure of this house has remained virtually unchanged since construction except the Stewart Family enclosed the original porch section on the left thus somewhat increases the size of this house.

Anne Prowse, received the property in 1898 – 1930, followed by George H. Stewart, PEI and his wife Mary.
